Catalyst Brand Identity

Euromonitor International formed a new team called Catalyst, which would work with clients on rapid turnaround reports. They were the spark accelerating research, analysis, and discovery. I oversaw the design of a new identity developed by my brand design team. Ultimately we created an identity and its guidelines along with a series of templates and collateral material with the goal of empowering the team to create their own branded reports and content.

A First Step Towards a New Product

Catalyst, based primarily out of Bangalore, India and led from Chicago, sat within the Euromonitor Consulting family. The team was set to offer a suite of products, the launch product being First Step. We sat down with the team to understand how they fit within Euromonitor’s broader portfolio, including Passport, and how First Step differentiated itself from its competitors.

After considering a number of approaches, we decided upon the idea of the team being the agent of change for a client’s understanding of a market. At the onset of the project, one of the critical deliverables identified by the team was an additional set of guidelines for charts and data visualisation. First Step included a suite of available graphics that needed a clear, clean, and consistent aesthetic.

The team also wanted a launch-ready set of Microsoft Office templates, including PowerPoint, featuring the new brand. Additionally, my team prepared a number of other templates and collateral pieces, e.g. marketing graphics, to help Euromonitor’s marketing teams market the new offerings and the sales team to sell it. These templates were for both Microsoft and Adobe software.

A flow chart for sales teams and proposal writers to understand the new offering
A selection of charting rules and styles from the brand guidelines
A standardised methodology graphic created for proposals, presentations, and deliverables
A selection of slides from the First Step PowerPoint deliverable.
