2012 Olympics Datagraphics

For the 2012 Summer Olympics, I designed and produced a series of datagraphics for my employer that explored relationships between datasets we kept and previous Olympic performance. The highpoint was our prediction of the United Kingdom winning 65 total medals, which the United Kingdom team did in the very last event.

I created four separate datagraphics. The first focused on that initial forecast and the fourth piece revisisted the forecast and presented the final tallies. The second and third graphics examined GDP and BMI and their impact on performance.

When the Olympics ended, I designed this piece to recap what happened

Leading up to the Olympics, I explored how different countries performed by economic group

In another piece leading up to the Olympics we examined if a country's BMI impacted its results
