I am an Anglophile, especially when it comes to history. So for 2012 I wanted to create a card that would celebrate a holiday unique to the UK: Guy Fawkes Night. For those unfamiliar with the holiday, it is typically celebrated by lighting bonfires and burning Guy Fawkes in effigy because he tried (and failed) to kill King James I. The letterforms were created by a foil press to catch and reflect light like flames in a bonfire. I designed an envelope for the card as well.
